There’s something undeniably romantic about a wedding at Wrigley Mansion. With its historic architecture, sweeping views of Phoenix, and old-world elegance, it creates the kind of setting that already feels timeless before the first photograph is even taken. Kelly and Gunnar’s wedding was the perfect reflection of that—elegant, joyful, romantic, and full of genuine moments.
From the beginning of the day, Kelly brought such an effortlessly classic bridal style. Every detail felt intentional without feeling overdone, perfectly complementing the historic beauty of Wrigley Mansion. The architecture, warm Arizona light, and elevated details created such a beautiful backdrop for portraits that felt refined while still completely natural.
One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at Wrigley Mansion is the variety the property gives us. Around every corner there’s another beautiful backdrop—from the iconic architecture and intimate interior spaces to the terraces overlooking the city.
For Kelly and Gunnar, we used those spaces to create a mix of classic, editorial portraits and candid imagery that truly felt like them. While I always make time for those frame-worthy portraits, some of my favorite photographs from their day were the ones that happened in between—the laughter, little glances, hugs from family, and moments they weren’t even aware I was capturing.
That balance is always what I want a wedding gallery to feel like: beautiful enough to belong in a magazine, but real enough to immediately take you back to how the day felt.
Kelly and Gunnar’s celebration fit Wrigley Mansion beautifully. The entire day had an elevated, luxury feel while still being warm, personal, and incredibly fun.
As the evening unfolded, the polished elegance of the day transitioned into a celebration filled with energy. Photographing their friends and family laughing, celebrating, and filling the dance floor was just as important to me as documenting all of the carefully chosen details.
Because years from now, those are the photographs that become even more meaningful—the way your parents looked at you during the ceremony, your best friend laughing across the table, the people you love packed onto the dance floor, and all the tiny interactions you couldn’t possibly see while living the day yourself.
Kelly and Gunnar’s wedding was such a beautiful example of why I love photographing weddings in a way that blends timeless portraiture with candid, documentary storytelling.
If you’re planning a Wrigley Mansion wedding, the venue is perfect for couples who want their photographs to feel romantic, classic and elevated while still leaving plenty of room for personality and genuine emotion.
